TRADITIONAL FOOD


In Kelantan, one of states in Malaysia famous with Nasi Kerabu. 'Nasi' means rice in malay. 'Kerabu' is a mixture of vegetables which is not much difference with salad. Nasi Kerabu is special and unique because the rice colour is blue.

If Kelantan famous with Nasi Kerabu, Terengganu popular with their Nasi Dagang. 'Dagang' means business. It called Nasi Dagang because in old times they tell us to sell it from one place to another.
Pulau Pinang, Pahang and Johor are located in different place but what are the same about them is their traditional food called Laksa.We have Laksa Penang, Laksa Johor and Laksa Pahang. Laksa served with their own fish sauce. Laksa Penang tasted a little sour, Laksa Pahang tasted a bit sweet while Laksa Johor is a bit spicy.

For Indian races, they famous with their Spicy Curry. Curry usually eat with rice or Roti Canai. Other than that, they also famous with their Muruku where they eat them on Deepavali.
Chinese races famous with their Dinsum. They usually eat them on breakfast. Dinsum has many types. Dinsum served in hot bamboo basket.

The most important ttraditional food in Malaysia is Nasi Lemak. Every people in Malaysia ate it throughout the day.Nasi Lemak served with 'sambal' which contain chili paste and anchovies. Nasi Lemak in English is Fat Rice. It contain high of calories.
